Spring into community writing events

Introduction to writing and publishing your story – Saturday March 20th – Only $10

This two hour information session is the introduction to the Spring into Community celebrations at
Quw’utsun Cultural & Conference Center, Comeakin Room, 200 Cowichan Way, Duncan, B.C.

To inspire people to share their stories, create community, drum and dance!
All day admittance to all speakers, drumming circle and dancing only $35!

2.30pm- 4.30pm Julie Salisbury of InspireABook - Did you ever wondered was involved in writing and publishing your own book? Julie inspires us to tell our stories and publish them. New technology has opened up the possibility for the ordinary man on the street to now publish their own story, Julie tells us how.

5.00pm-7.45pm Mark Lakeman of City Repair – How we can reclaim our urban spaces to create community places. Mark inspires us to turn ordinary neighbourhood areas into meeting spaces for community.

8.00pm – 8.45pm Karin Lewis hosts a Drum Circle – please bring a drum or call to reserve one at 748-6750.

9.00pm to Midnight – The Paradigm Shifters creates an interactive night of music, magic and dancing!

The Comeakin Kitchen will be serving yummy food and there will be alcohol and non alcoholic drinks.
